see if any complaints have been made against them - not many people realize they can lodge a complaint that the state board
will investigate so keep that in mind. If a complaint was lodged, they really must have done someone's pet great harm for
the person to find out how to report them. You should all report your vet if they've harmed your animals with excessive/unnecessary
drugs, vaccines, surgery, etc.

Basic First Aid Priorities for

Getting started with a Holistic Vet
A Holistic vet will generally set up a consultation with
you that can last anywhere from 40 minutes to 1-1/2 hours. This allows them to get to know you, the animal and explain how
they treat, therapies used, discuss nutrition and alternative, healthier feeding as well as what is expected of you,
etc.
They will also want your pets health records.
I always suggest if you can, contact / visit a few Holistic
vets. Pick the one that you feel most comfortable with. It is always a good idea to get to know a few should you need a secondary
or third vet already familiar with you in case your preferred vet is not available when you need them.
Also ask them if they have emergency service or
can give you a number in case of emergencies that you can keep on hand.
Long Distance Consultations

Excellent alternative if you do not have access
to a nearby Holistic Veterinarian.
Please be advised, there is generally
a fee for consultations, E-Mail treatment guidance, etc. which you will be notified of when warranted. Payment
via credit card is taken over the phone, generally.
You are receiving services just as you
would when going to a local vet. These vets have to be compensated for their time and treatment of your pets. I have 2 local
Holistic vets and I still use a long distance vet. They each excell in different areas and I choose a vet for instances
where each excells.
My long distance vet has my credit card
on file so she can just bill my card should I need her assistance, makes it very easy for both of us.
